The Constitutional Party of Florida endorsed Peg early in the race.
Look for other parties that have like minded supporters to jump on board.
Tea Party believers have ONLY ONE candidate in the race now. Peg is the candidate. She is the ONLY ONE who steadfastly holds to the principles the tea party movement has been endorsing. Integrity is part of what the tea party is all about. ALL tea party patriots in central Florida have only one place to vote in November and that is with TEA party candidate Peg Dunmire. Welcome aboard! We have taken the stand to stand up for our principles. In Central Florida for the District 8 Congressional race, Patriots will not cave and fall into lock step with the Republican Party of Florida. Integrity. Principles. These are the issues that got us where we are. The time is now to stand up and be counted. Only when you do will YOUR vote count!
I am Peg Dunmire, candidate for the US Congress, Florida District 8. I am running as the official Florida TEA party candidate. This is a new political party. It is totally legitimate, however, the Republican Party of Florida is trying to discredit us and is, in fact, using the courts to lodge complaints based on lies. Of course they know that by the time we get this straightened out through the courts that the damage will be done.
I expect the WSJ to report the news and the news is that The Republican Party of Florida is working a fraud on the people of Florida putting out lies and the news is not reporting this scam! I simply am aghast at the lack on reporting integrity I am finding in our nation's news rooms. PLEASE do not be part of this and investigate the facts. To help you, I am including a summary of the facts.
1. A new political party was formed in Florida this year. Its name is the Florida TEA Party. Its abbreviation on the ballot will be TEA.
2. There are NO ties to the Democratic Party. There is no back room funding; no sleezy scheming; no attempt for this party to be a front for the Democrats.
3. This party was formed by Fred O'Neal, a lawyer, a dissatisfied citizen, a person who has searched the political landscape to find leaders to support. That is why he formed the TEA party; to start something new; to take back our country and focus on 2 issues: fiscal common sense and constitutional limitation to the federal government.
4. There are 2 pawns in the republican party who are fronts for the legal assault on the TEA party. Everette Wilkinson formed a tea party group, The Florida Tea Party, LLC, and constantly claims he is the chairman of the Florida TEA Party. Of course, this is a lie because Fred O'Neal is. Wilkinson is trying to confuse voters and when O'Neal told him to stop misrepresenting his position, Wilkinson filed suit that O'Neal might harm him. MIGHT. No actual damage has been even identified or alleged. Yet, this person is able to clog up the courts with a frivilous lawsuit until the slow wheels of justice rule that this is a fraud. PLEASE check this out and you will be shocked (I hope) to learn of this abuse of our courts.
5. This month there have been 20 or so individual civil lawsuits filed against every TEA party candidate. These suits are brought to us by Don Hensarling, a front for the Republican Party of Florida. Thrasher ,chairman of the RPOF, admits he welcomes funding these lawsuits. The alleged crime for all these lawsuits is...drumroll...that TEA will take votes away from Republicans! YES, it is what we plan on doing. It is called an election. PLEASE check out the facts. These are real miscarriages of justice and real attempts to interfer with our elections.
6. A new organization, The Tea Party Foundation, Inc., was set up to raise money and this RPOF backed organization is absolutely trying to confuse the voters. The organizers of this group are republicans. This organization has been notified by the Florida Department of State that it cannot use this name as it includes the name of a legitimate political party. This group continues to use the name and thumb their nose at the law. Until we file suit against them, they continue to knowingly use a name that has been ruled illegal.
We believe there are at least 6 lawfirms engaged by the Republicans to attack us. There appears to be unlimited money available to destroy us. And when the press supports these lies and attempts to misuse our courts and prey on the complacency of the reporters to NOT get their facts correct, YOU are a party to these deceptions and destruction of our civil liberties.
PLEASE stand up and be what so many of us thought the free press was to do. That is, get your facts correct and report the news. This is a horror in our political process.
WITH GRAYSON AND WEBSTER
"I congratulate Senator Dan Webster on his victory in the Republican primary and we look forward to a meaningful discussion of the issues facing this District and the nation. I immediately call on Dan and Alan to participate in at least two (2) debates at a time and place to be determined. It is important to allow the citizens of District 8 the opportunity to evaluate all three of us prior to the November general election," stated Peg Dunmire, TEA Party nominee for the US Congress District 8.
Dunmire, 62, won the Tea Party nomination without opposition and will face incumbent Democrat Alan Grayson and former State Senator Dan Webster who won the GOP nomination with less than 40% of the vote.
For the primary, over 100 tea party volunteers placed over 1,000 "Remember in November-It's Tea Time! Dunmire for Congress yard signs at over 200 precincts in the District.

To say that McCollum is part of the problem is the understatement of the year. McCollum is so much a part of what is wrong with politics that ANYONE voting for him is endorsing the policies of bigger government, special interests and oh by the way, dirty politics!
Scott, on the other hand, is an unknown. He has used his personal fortunes to fund his campaign. For those who are jealous of his success, the tired old attack on successful people has been used. "He is buying his election!" "He stole money from taxpayers!" Please. Neither is true. One of the real problems with elections is that people won't contribute to an unknown. So unless you have moved up the political ladder and smoozed to the special interests, how are you supposed to get funding for a campaign? Either you use your own money or you just cannot participate effectively. Personally, I admire anyone who puts their own money where their mouth is. Scott has certainly done that.
If the tea party movement and the mood of the country is to throw incumbents out, then I do not understand at all how McCollum is leading in the polls. This is the year, this is the election where YOU have a choice. Chose wisely because we definitely know what one choice means. A vote for McCollum is a vote for status quo. It is a vote to keep special interests in power. It is a vote to GIVE AWAY YOUR power.
A vote for Scott is a vote for hope. We do not know how he would lead the great state of Florida. We do know that he was an extraordinary executive and creator of JOBS, JOBS, JOBS. We do know that he took $125,000 of his money and his wife's money to create the largest health care system in the country. We do know that he worked hard and brought health care to millions of people. I know that to do that is an accomplishment that warrants nothing but praise.
However, McCollum twists the sad realities of working within the government program, Medicare, into saying that Scott is character deficient. No Mr McCollum, Medicare is character deficient. It is a BAD system that creates impossible situations for ALL health care providers. EVERYONE struggles to comply with regulations that are not clear; with regulators and auditors who can come in retroactively and decide that what you are doing isn't what they have decided should be paid for. This system that the public reveres is a setup administratively for problems. In the insurance world, we call this a moral hazard. That is, when one knowingly does something to create a problem. Our legislators have created this Medicare system (as they create too many government programs) that are filled with ambiguity and invitations for problems.
A vote for Scott is our only hope in Florida. I do not know Scott personally. I shook his hand once at a gun show. That is my only encounter with him. He would not know me if we met. But I know him. I know for him to be such a successful businessperson means that he has a great foundation for our state's leadership. He looks at problems differently than a career politician does. Yes, Scott is an unknown. Yes, Scott is a successful private businessman.
The choice is yours. Success in the private sector? OR the known career politician who has brought you today's state of affairs?
If you like what we have here in Florida, unemployment 11.4%, foreclosures, underfunded state property insurance, out of control medicaid, gigantic schools, political corruption and backroom deals with special interests, then by all means, vote McCollum, the status quo choice.
If you want to throw incumbents out, vote Scott; the choice for hope.
Obviously I want to take Republican votes away from Republicans! I am one of the opponents. What exactly are elections and campaigns if not the opportunity to have voters select their choice? But the Republicans do not want any competitor and they are going to great lengths to throw up barriers and deny the voters honest debate on issues and character and what I think are the critical factors in selecting a representative.
Repeatedly I hear Republicans (not Democrats; not Alan Grayson; ONLY Republicans) say I am part of a fake party. Let us get this clear. A NEW political party was created in Florida, The Florida TEA Party. All the proper paperwork was submitted and accepted by the Secretary of State and the Division of Elections. Under Florida law, this new party may run candidates in elections. That is what they are doing. This is totally legal and above board. But Republicans do not want us to exist. Certain self proclaimed leaders in the tea party movement do not want us to exist. So they have joined forces and are using whatever means they can think of to throw out false allegations and repeat the claim that we are fake.
There is a lawsuit being heard in federal court about the use of the name Florida Tea Party. I went to the hearing on this and unless you are aware of the details, you may not understand the issues. There are laws that deal with the use of organizations' names. These laws are intended to ensure that there is no confusion over names. We are obeying the law. Others are not. The issue is that LEGALLY there is only one Florida TEA Party. There are zillions of other Tea Party organizations and there are no issues with all the other groups using tea party as part of their name. The one exception that I am aware of is that Florida law says that if you are a campaign organization (one that raises money), you cannot have as part of your name a political party's name. So as a tactic to confuse the public a group formed the Tea Party Foundation, Inc. and they have been notified by the Secretary of State that it is illegal to use this name. Defiantly, they have indicated they will fight this all the way to the Supreme Court. Really? Perhaps they will because this organization appears to be funded by none other than the Republican Party of Florida.
Finally, I must state very clearly my position on all this hoopla. I am a legitimate candidate running for US Congress, Florida District 8. I have been determined by the Secretary of State to be qualified to run. My name will be on the November ballot. I am running as a TEA candidate. This is a new political party in Florida. It is legitimate, legal, authorized and real. Our mission is to take votes away from Republicans and Democrats and anyone else who is running who spends money we don't have; advocates policies that are contrary to our country's best interests; and is in bed with special interests. I am a hard working professional who is exercising my constitutional rights to speak out and influence others to restore our country to the excellence and prominence as the leader of the free world. I am totally 100% about freedom. I am horrified to now understand that Republicans are not about freedom. They are about power and control just like the Democrats are.
Please join me in this fight for our nation's beliefs: the rule of law and freedom. This is not a fight about the use of the name tea party. This is a fight about justice, freedom, rule of law and honesty. So far I am not seeing the people who so vehemently object to my candidacy as people who honor truth, freedom or the rule of law. It is a sad day indeed.
In fact, he didn't just support it. He believes it. He believes government is the solution to great societal problems like healthcare. And he believes Obamacare will right the wrongs with our healthcare system. That is the big lie. It will not. We have the problems with healthcare because of government interference. Government is the problem, not the solution.
Here in Central Florida, we see the first fruits of Healthcare Reform in the shootout between United Healthcare and Florida Hospital System. The two organizations have not come to an agreement on their contract. Thousands of United Healthcare clients have been notified that next month their insurance will not pay for services at the Florida Hospital System. Remember Obama's promise: if you like your insurance you can keep it. Well, do you really want to keep your insurance if your insurance won't pay YOUR doctors or hospital services? Of course not! So what is the issue? Money is the issue. Money will be the issue from now on and the issue will get worse and worse as Obamacare is implemented.
You see what Obamacare really does is pit one group against another group. The government gets to stay in the background. The politicians get to look Congressional and go to events like Hob Nobs. But what you are not seeing is that these politicians have created these problems. Healthcare is not a problem you created. It is not a problem that healthcare created. It is not even a problem that the insurance companies created. It is 100% created by politicians. They have broken market forces and arbitrarily demanded that good people deliver healthcare services in ways that cannot be properly funded or managed appropriately. When you mess with the market, you get unintended consequences. May I remind you of what happened in the housing market? I am referring to the push from our politicians to have banks give mortgages to people who could not really afford them. Bizarre things started to happen and the end result was the financial meltdown of 2008.
The same thing will happen in healthcare. We don't know when or how the meltdown will occur but it will occur. And then the politicians will blame the healthcare industry for failing. We know TODAY that the largest government healthcare program, Medicare, is filled with BILLIONS of dollars of fraud. We cannot even manage what we have had for over 40 years. Yet, we are now going to have Washington take over the rest of healthcare.
In a free market, United Healthcare and Florida Hospital would design the services their customers want. They would negotiate the costs for those services. United Healthcare would be free to package these services and the payments as they chose to do this. Florida Hospital would be free to design their programs to meet United Healthcare's wishes. When you have your own business, you know "the customer is always right." Now that doesn't mean the customer doesn't pay; but what the customer wants drives what you deliver. If you can't deliver, then the customer will go elsewhere. Unfortunately in healthcare, the government is now the customer. We are no longer the customers. Our insurance company is not the customer. And in actuality, it is our politicians who are the customers.
Now doesn't that make you feel all warm and fuzzy knowing that Alan Grayson gets to decide what your healthcare will be and what you will pay for it? Maybe that is why 96 people voted for Alan Grayson.
Health care is complicated and the razzle dazzle of politicians is too much for most Americans to fight. But I am here to say with the conviction of every ounce of me that I WILL FIGHT FOR YOU TO CHANGE THIS! Obamacare is a moral, ethical and financial disaster. The American public has been snookered and we must not allow this to happen.
Alan Grayson voted for this. In fact he also authored legislation to extend the Medicare system to everyone. Alan Grayson knows nothing about health care. His four page legislation simply displays his ignorance. I am a health care professional who has worked my entire adult life to deliver health care services. My first degree is a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology. This field is indicative of the wonderful changes we have seen in health care over my life. Laboratory analysis is available at a cost effective price and accessible anywhere in the country. My second degree is a Master of Public Health, Hospital Administration and Finance. This degree prepared me to be an administrator for the most complex organization in health care, the hospital. My thirteen years at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh provided me with the experience to not only understand the inner workings of a hospital but also to be part of serving the other vulnerable group among us, children.
Whether we are serving the elderly or children, we must be smart about spending our resources. Whether we are wanting to provide health care to the uninsured or the insured, we must be smart about how to do this. Obamacare is not smart; it is really and truly corrupt. Over 3,000 pages of legislation that has nothing to do with better health care services; rather it is 3,000 pages of favoring certain people at the expense of you and your needs.
Politicians love to say that Medicare is the best program. Really? How is it best when we all know that BILLIONS of dollars of corruption flow through this program? How is it best when we all know that TODAY the Obama administration is dismantling the Medicare Advantage program which is PROVEN to provide better care, better outcomes than the traditional Medicare program?
We need to get government OUT OF HEALTH CARE! Government is not the solution. It is the PROBLEM!
Join me in this fight. Send me to Washington to represent you. Vote for me in November. Join the Revolution, vote TEA. Let us throw out our current politicians. Let us stop the generational war. Let us stop this corruption. Let us live without the government in our most personal decisions: our healthcare. Send Peg Dunmire to Washington to represent YOU honorably and with integrity.
Money comes out of our pockets, goes to Washington, then we have to ask "Pretty Please Could We Possibly Have Some of Our Own Money Back?" How absurd. I don't want it going to Washington to begin with. Let our citizens keep their own money and let them decide how to spend their own hard earned money!
Join me in abolishing the federal tax system as it is today. The income tax system is nothing but special favors to powerful people so they don't have to pay taxes but the everyday American does. Then we have a corporate tax system that squashes corporations investments in expanding jobs. Today, more than ever, we need to stop taxing the way we have and open up our country's economy for JOBS, JOBS, JOBS! When we replace our current tax system with the Fair Tax, investments will pour into our country and our economy will flourish!!!! Why aren't we doing this? Because the Alan Graysons of the world believe THEY know what is best and GRAYSON is proud as punch with "delivering $200 million dollars to the people of District 8."
Newsflash: How about letting the people of District 8 keep their money? Now that's an idea I think everyone could support.
Join me in getting the Federal Government out of your pocket. In November, vote for me. Join the Revolution, VOTE TEA.
I love the poem The Road Less Traveled by Robert Frost. 90 years ago Frost knew that taking the road less traveled makes all the difference. Join me and vote TEA in November. The Road Less Traveled is the road to prosperity and freedom and independence. Returning incumbent politicians to their failed policies would continue this assault on our economy and your jobs. Only electing new people provides any hope for change. You have the power to chose. Chose me. Elect me. I will represent you honorably and with integrity. This would be the road less traveled. And it will make all the difference indeed.
Here is our message. It is time for us to have a new political party. We are not Republican light. We are not the tea party movement. Our ideas are much bigger and simpler than the ideas of these groups. We are here to reclaim our limited federal government.
We are here to take back our power and include all the citizens deserted by the republican and democratic antics. We are the voice against the special interests and the powerful incumbent politicians. We are fighting for Americans who simply want to be left alone by the government.
We believe in the Constitution’s declaration of our basic rights: life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That is what we want and these rights are what the current political parties have been stealing from us bit by bit. We will not be silenced. We will not go away. We are fighting for our freedom. Join us. Make history. Join the 4th of July revolution!
The Republican Party has its own failings. When I set out to run for congress, I filed as a Republican. I was a life long Republican. The first task I needed help with was to make sure I was filing correctly. I called the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) and asked if I could speak to a lawyer. The lawyer was not in. I left a message. Several phone calls later, still no response. I filed without the review.
Meanwhile, I would get solicitations on behalf of the NRCC asking for money to support candidates running for Congress. The solicitors would say that the purpose of the NRCC is to support Republican candidates running for Congress. I was a Republican candidate running for Congress. But I wasn’t getting any support.
Then I would read in the Orlando Sentinel that the NRCC had secretly met with candidates in central Florida. They didn’t meet with me. Eight or nine candidates filed with the Federal Election Commission. Then I would read that no one was running. Apparently all of us who had filed did not exist. The FEC said we were legitimate. The Department of State in Florida said we were legitimate. But the press said we didn’t exist.
In February, I went to Washington to attend a program sponsored by The Republican Governors Association. The Executive Director of the NRCC presented the Republican strategy for winning back the House. He elaborated on the support that is given to candidates. The NRCC was there for candidates!
After the session, I quickly moved to meet the speaker. I introduced myself and told him that I was running for Congress. His first response was “How are you doing with fundraising?” My response was “competitive.” He sneered and told me to come back when I had raised $250,000. I said, “Excuse me, but I have supported the NRCC for years with my contributions and I would like to know why you are not helping me?” He informed me that Florida District 8 was a mess. What did I expect of him? Was he to solve our local problem (that being many candidates)? He told me to solve it.
Meanwhile back in the local area, I made the rounds to most of the Republican clubs to introduce myself. Everywhere I went candidates were given 2-3 minutes to introduce themselves. In addition, there were other activities with opportunities for brief speeches or superficial debates. I later learned these activities were really fronts for candidates by organizers being paid by some candidates.
In April, representatives from TEA, the official Florida Tea Party, contacted me to meet with them. We discussed my campaign and they discussed their party. They suggested I consider running as a TEA candidate. I immediately said no. And then, thankfully, I reconsidered and agreed to be their first congressional candidate.
What does TEA have that the tea party movement does not? TEA commits and publishes the principles that the Tea Party movement simply dreams of. TEA is clear on its mission. The Tea Party movement wants to remain amorphous. TEA has a strategy to win. The Tea Party movement wants everyone to do his or her thing. TEA has organization. The Tea Party movement is afraid of organization. TEA is on a roll. The Tea Party movement is burning out, tired, depleted, and bankrupt just like the Republicans and the Democrats.
The Republican Party in Florida and the local Tea Party activists are devoid of ideas. They are bullies and crybabies. Their dialogue is shallow and boring. One of the seven Republicans running in the primary is Patricia Sullivan, a local tea party activist. Apparently, her supporters love “Groundhog Day.” I publish something. Like swarms of bees, the Sullivan followers start posting the same statements to my blogs. “Stop running. You are a spoiler. Sullivan is wonderful.” They are blogger thugs. Next time I publish, they repeat their assault.
Another member of the seven Republicans running in the primary, Bruce O’Donoghue, tried to create news this week by holding a news conference on the steps of city hall. A few people showed up. But there was no news. Rather, has been tea party activists repeated their standard mantras. “We, the anointed ones, who do not believe in the people having choices, want to say once again that we, the almighty knowing tea party activists, do not support the TEA party. We, the naïve political activists, declare that reforms we want shall only be made through the Republican Party. We pledge our allegiance to people who have no ideas, no class, and no principles.”
So where does this leave us? The current political class is bankrupt. Most of us agree to this. All polls indicate the percentage of Americans who support the performance of Congress hovers in the twenties. Here in Florida, we have very serious political issues. We have a Florida Republican Party that is corrupt. No one can dispute this. The handcuffs on Mr. Greer, former Chairman of the Florida Republican Party, tell the tale.
The electorate is looking for action and in our country that means supporting candidates and electing them to office. But the tea party activists have become stuck in their coming out party. They want to remain a movement and not mature to a party. So they spin their wheels. They stand on the steps of city hall. They clog up the blogs. In short, they obstruct the very process they want to change.
I am Peg Dunmire and I am running for Congress. I am thrilled and honored to be running in a new political party, the TEA party. Unlike the other parties, we are not bankrupt. In fact, we are alive; we are vibrant; we are on fire. I have gathered skilled teams to help me become known to the people of central Florida. I embrace the battle cry of the tea party activists. Send me to Washington to serve the people of central Florida. Help me be your voice in Washington. Let us join together to fight this battle for the heart and soul of our country. To fight, we must be filled with ideas, with energy, and with a winning game plan. We are the TEA party, fortified for the fight.
On the other hand, I do not support requiring employers be mandated to verify legal status or use the E-Verify tool for new employees. It is the role of government NOT business to enforce immigration. Transferring the responsibility for immigration enforcement to business is an intrusion on our personal freedom and pursuit of happiness.
Our illegal immigration issues are law enforcement issues and economic issues. I support our law enforcement officers in all services to enforce the laws of the land. This includes asking for identification of any person who is questioned in the course of the officer executing his or her duties. When I drive too quickly, a police officer can pull me over and ask for my driver's license. This is standard operating procedure and should be extended to any situation where law enforcement needs to know who the person is. If the person cannot produce identification, then the officers should be contacting Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Economic issues arise when illegal immigrants receive government services such as using hospitals or schools. We provide life saving medical services to anyone regardless of their ability to pay or immigration status. However, after treatment, the healthcare provider should be using my proposed expansion of E-Verify to identify the patient. When children are enrolled in schools, their legal status can also be checked through E-Verify.
I would like to propose that we look at the immigration process and identify where we can improve it. I have heard stories of our system requiring interested aliens 10 years to become citizens. We need a system that is fair and efficient not one that is tortuous and a marathon.
Nationally, we must demand that our federal government secure our borders. Within Florida, we must have our government agencies verify the identity of persons using our government services. Immigration and Customs Enforcement must deport persons who are not supposed to be here and process efficiently those who are supposed to be here. We are a nation of laws. Integrity is doing what you say you are to do. Let's bring integrity into immigration.

At 85, we want our children to remember to visit.
At 90, we want to have our dignity.
At 95, we want to go home peacefully.
I'm Peg Dunmire and I'm running for Congress. I've heard what you want. I want it too. And all of your hopes and dreams are at risk. We must fight to change our nation's course. We want the American Dream. We want to leave our country a better place than we found it. We want to leave the American Dream to our children and grandchildren. Join me in this fight for our country.

And I’m just fine with professing my loyalty and allegiance to the United States of America through “I pledge allegiance to the United States of America, etc.”
I pledge to uphold the US Constitution.
I’m also supportive of my youthful pledges of “I promise to do my best; to love God and my Country; to help other people and to obey the Girl Scout Law.”
Finally, I’m just dandy with pledging my loyalty to the people of District 8. I will sign a loyalty oath that I will serve them to the best of my abilities and I will REPRESENT them.
But this Party Loyalty Oath makes me very uncomfortable.
My discomfort changed to revulsion when I saw a recent email from Lew Oliver, chairman of the Orange County Republican Executive Committee. With Charlie Crist’s announcement that he has changed parties from being a Republican to an Independent, Mr. Oliver regretfully informed all the members of the Orange County Executive Committee of their duty: they are REQUIRED to purge their association with Mr. Crist. This includes demanding any donations to his campaign be returned and references to him be removed from literature and websites. Cut him off. Rip your label. Spit on the ground. The party says he is dead.
What does this blind adherence to the party mean?
We do not have to look far. Just recently, we saw it in the passage of the Health Care Bill. Party allegiance took precedence over the will of the people.
Party over People.
What is wrong with politics today?
The Party.
Party Politics.
Allegiance.
Loyalty... Blind loyalty.
When you join a party, you do not give up your 1st amendment rights. Or do you?
“Now everyday Americans will get access to the same benefits that Congress gets.”
Peg's response: FALSE. The federal government will determine what benefits the insurance plans are allowed to offer. There is no requirement that these are the same benefits that Congress gets.
“If you like your coverage and doctor you can KEEP them.”
Peg's response: FALSE. No one can make this statement. Why? Because no one can guarantee that as a result of this legislation, you will even have the option to keep existing coverage and doctors. Look at what happened in Florida to the property insurance industry. Reform? Well, maybe for some; but for others, their insurance companies went out of business; for others their premiums went up.
“Those without coverage have affordable options.”
Peg's response: TRUE. This is true because someone else (the taxpayer) will be paying for part of the insurance premium. There is NOTHING in this legislation to bring down the cost of health care and thus lower the cost of insurance premiums. Robin Hood is alive and well in this statement.
“No more denials for pre-existing conditions.”
Peg's response: TRUE. In 2014, this legislation does require insurance companies to insure anyone with pre-existing conditions. In June, 2010, employer plans and new individual policies must have this feature. This is the death knoll for insurance companies. When you deny insurance companies the ability to manage risk, they will no longer be insurance companies. But, they will be “utility companies” or in essence the public option companies.
“Limits on what patients can be charged.”
Peg's response: IF TRUE, then this will result in health care RATIONING. No question about that!
Generally, patients don’t pay what is charged. Their insurance company or the government negotiates deeply discounted prices. If health care providers have price controls, we know the result is ALWAYS services will be cut OR people will find a way around this and an alternative market will develop. This means only the rich will get good, timely service because they will pay.
“No more limits on coverage you get.”
Peg's response: This is by far the most ludicrous portion of the health care reform legislation. No business can remain viable when there are no limits to their expenses. Clearly, this was written by our congress that does not know the meaning of limits to spending. If this is true, then there is no insurance; rather this is a blank check for services.
“No increase in middle class taxes OR the deficit.”
Peg's response: FALSE. There are numerous places in our society that will now be taxed as a result of this legislation. The taxes will be passed on to the middle class in the form of increased costs. The deficit will increase as the CBO’s analysis of this legislation was bogus accounting. This is absolutely false.
“Congressman Grayson. Thank you.”
Peg's response: For what? For destroying our healthcare system? For taking down another private industry? For falsely promising access, affordability and a blank check for services? You decide: a thank you? I think not.
Washington's favorite word is "transparency". I suspect if you can accept an opaque look at all they do they're being honest. But the process doesn't server America.

Dunmire, 62, won the Tea Party nomination without opposition and will face incumbent Democrat Alan Grayson and former State Senator Dan Webster who won the GOP nomination with less than 40% of the vote.
